On the 29th May 2020, as many of you know, Baz our then 15 year old son was tragically hit by a car whilst cycling home from the beach   He was looked after by the paramedics and BASICS Cornwall who then decided to airlift him by the Coastguard helicopter direct to the Bristol Children’s hospital where he remained until the end of March 2021.  Niels and I were looked after so well by the Grand Appeal charity.  They gave us a beautiful en-suite room just up the road from the hospital and told us that it was ours for as long as we needed it.  It was invaluable and such a godsend.  

I applied for a charity place (of which they only have one) and they decided that they really liked my story so gave me the place in mid March   I am now just about to start my training with exactly 5 months to the date.  I am hoping that by then Baz will be able to walk at least 2.62 miles too.

Please help me help other families, like us, who suddenly find themselves in the most terrible situation that they never thought was possible.
