For context, the longest run event I've ever taken part in was 3 miles long (during the daytime) and it was 17 years ago. So this is comfortably beyond my comfort zone!

I've been training most days since the start of this year just so that I'm able to finish it in one piece (and still a bit doubtful). The event raises money for the local mountain rescue team (Braemar), a volunteer group that has saved countless lives in the Cairngorms. Given that the upcoming winter is set to be a pretty harsh one, they will most definitely be going out more often than they would like so your donation will be much appreciated!
