Story
Today is the anniversary of mum's death and we wanted to do something positive in her memory and to raise funds for St Peter's Hospice to thank them for the wonderful care they offered us all. We decided on a sponsored skydive!
Mum died Tuesday 24 March 2020 in St Peter's Hospice, the second day of lockdown. Mum was in there for two weeks before she died, the care she received was amazing, she was comfortable and well looked after. It also enabled us as a family to spend quality time with her which we will never forget.
St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's ONLY adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Their commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. All of their care is provided free of charge, but it costs around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money they rely on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and money raised in their shops.
