Story

Those who know us, know Vinnie (aged 7) would live in a tent at Drayton Park Golf Course if he could, he lives and breathes Golf! If he isn't at the course, he is chipping air golf balls out of the patio doors into buckets, Putting on his indoor mat, or watching his heroes on You Tube!  Vinnie has a personal best of 36 (no handicap yet!) on the PAR 3 and would love to raise awareness and few funds by doing 2 rounds of 9 holes with the intention of matching (at worst) or beating this PB....... It came as a complete surprise to us to discover Vinnie isn't  just short like mum, he is deficient in Growth Hormone, the hormone that helps regulate body composition, body fluids, muscle and bone growth , sugar and fat metabolism, and possibly heart function. Not only can a lack of the hormone affect self esteem and confidence in youngsters as their peers grow taller and stronger, it can have long term effects on their body leading to health difficulties in adulthood. Luckily, daily injections of man made hormones can combat the problems above and we are blessed to get this (very very expensive) treatment on the NHS. Vinnie has accepted his condition with his usual stoic and positive outlook and wishes to raise funds for the fairly small Charity that will support us as a family throughout his childhood and keep on educating and fighting for more research. Thank You for reading and Thank you moreso if you are able to donate, every little bit helps!
