Truro Half Marathon · 15 September 2019

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

On 15th September I will be running the Truro Half Marathon to raise money for Mind. Mind is a UK mental health charity which offers information and advice to people with mental health problems; an issue we are all faced with at times whether it be our own mental health or that of loved ones.

I have dabbled in running on and off for a few years but have never taken it too seriously. But when I suddenly and tragically lost my Mum last year I threw myself into running. There have been days that I have felt completely lost and I discovered that running really helped me. It has been my medicine, my happy place and my headspace when I have needed it over the last 14 months. So when I signed up for the Truro Half Marathon (what was I thinking!) I decided it was a perfect opportunity to raise money for a cause close to my heart. If you would like to donate anything at all I would be so grateful - give me something to run a little bit faster for 😉
