Both of my sons Jack 7yrs and Thomas 5yrs have type1 diabetes and also my hubby John.  The boys are both doing the mini run on Saturday 19th Sept in Newcastle city centre, this is 1 mile. John and I are doing the Great North Run on the Sunday (half marathon). If you can donate some money this will go to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and help with the work they are doing to find a cure for this disease.  This would mean my boys could then lead a normal life no longer being dependent on insulin.
