In March 2022  (postponed from Oct 2020) I’ll be taking on the Nepal Himalaya Trek (was India) to raise funds for Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, in memory of my husband, Robert Bateman.

In July 2018 my lovely husband spent his final days in Weldmar Hospice and the care he received there was amazing. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grampy and friend and we all have so many happy memories that help keep us strong.  I cannot thank the hospice staff enough for how they supported him and us, the family, through such a difficult and sad time.

I’ve never really done anything like this before, but it feels right to challenge myself with the trek whilst giving something back to such a wonderful charity, so that other families can benefit from the excellent care that Weldmar provide at their time of greatest need.
