Archie, is 5 years old and has Cerebral Palsy and can't walk independently despite 4 years of intensive physiotherapy. His parents have recently looked into a procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, where a vertebrae is removed to expose the spinal cord and some of the sensory nerves are cut, which permanently reduces the stiffness in the legs. It is this stiffness which is preventing Archie from walking. The Blomfield's are heading out to St Louis Missouri for what we all hope will be be a completely life changing operation for Archie, and they hope to raise some funds to go towards the £50,000 cost of the surgery. If you would like to look at Archie's fund raising page you can go to http://www.operationarchie.com/.
You can either sponsor me a set amount based on me hitting my target weight loss or sponsor an amount per lb I loose. I will update this site weekly to let you know how much weight I am loosing.
My challenge begins on Friday 6th January and ends on Friday 30th March when I will let you know exactly how much weight I have lost in total.
Thank you so much
Vic :-)
