Story

Welcome to my fundraising page!

When Malcolm told me he was running the Edinburgh Marathon in May, I thought he was a little bit mental, but 10 minutes later he had convinced me to join him!! So...here I am.

Our training is going quite well and we aim to complete the Marathon in 4 hours 30 minutes (although just to complete it would be amazing). The main thing is that we are enjoying the running and we're very determined to complete the marathon in a good time  :o)

We are running in the evenings and weekends and have managed a 9.5 mile run just before christmas, scary thought that we need to build that up to 26 miles!!! eeeek

We have decided to run in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. We would love to raise some money for them so need your help!

Any donation you can give will mean alot, even if it's just a quid, it all helps.

Thank you for reading and wish us luck!!!

UPDATE -    We've done a 14.5 mile run which was really good and we've started the 16 week training programme....15 weeks till Marathon day!

UPDATE - It's now Feb 10 and training is still going well, me and Mal have no injuries and are still enjoying the running. Better still....I have new running gear and new trainers, so has Mal...we look the part but can we do it??? WE think so!

UPDATE - It's now March and today we ran just over 16 miles! To be honest, I was feeling the pain at the end but we ran the full 16 miles in 2 hours 45 minutes which I think puts us at 10 minute miles so we're right on target to complete the marathon in 4 hours 30 minutes!! My only problem now is what to do with this huge blood blister on my toe :o/

UPDATE - April now and we ran 18miles in just over 3 hours!! Lots of hills on the run too so we did well to get that time. No problem from my blister either, it's healing well. Me and Mal are getting excited about the marathon now :o)

UPDATE - IT'S THE 5TH OF MAY!!! Not long to go now, we managed a 20 mile run last sunday, Mal had a bit of knee pain but we know that his new trainers will cure this instantly (when they arrive) so no worries at all.

VERY EXCITED! And just really want to raise as much money as I can for the macmillan support nurses/workers.

AARRGHHH - it's friday today...marathon on sunday!!! So excited...just getting over a mild sprained ankle but it won't be stopping me................SEE YOU AT THE FINISH LINE.....THANK YOU XXX
