In the past four years working at MRF, I've been inspired by incredible people and families in the UK and around the world who are defeating this terrible disease in their own way, every day. 

In 2020, MRF are working with the World Health Organisation to help create a new plan to defeat meningitis by 2030, for everyone, everywhere. Because, despite great progress, meningitis and neonatal sepsis together are still the second biggest infectious killers of under 5's around the world. 

But I'm not a runner and so this will not be easy. I have a dodgy slipped disc I have to manage regularly. I'm asthmatic. What I need to get me to the finish line is great support - cheering will help - and so will donations.
