Story

Those of you who know me, know about my utter hatred of running! I have always viewed it as something very strange people enjoy and something I hate. However, I have decided to run the Woodhall Spa 10km race to raise money for a very very worthwhile cause.

As many of you will know, my nephew was diagnosed with CGD in 2007. This is a life threatening disease which currently has no cure. It is very rare and I feel that it is very important to raise awareness of its exsistence, espeically among those of you studying medicine at university.

The Chronic Granulomatus Disorder Research Trust is a fantastic charity that funds research into the disorder and provides essential help to the families of the people suffering with the illness. We all hope that one day they will be able to find a cure.

So please help keep me motivated by donating as much as you can towards this brilliant cause! I will be doing another one in July in London so watch this space!

Thank you very much
