Story

The Band of the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service lost a very special friend, Roger Lumb in July 2016.
Roger was a great asset and friend to the band and spent many a Monday night supporting the band through playing, laminating and support work. His cheery welcome was always the first thing people saw when they came through the door!
Roger's family, Lesley, Ben and Matthew have chosen the Fire Fighter charity for the dedication and support they provided for Roger when he was recovering from an illness back in 2014. Lesley and Roger were offered hospitality at the recuperation centre and were able to enjoy a lovely holiday to rejuvenate Roger after a long and arduous recovery process.
This is a chance for the band to demonstrate how much Roger meant to them and also a way for the family to help give something back for the outstanding hospitality and service they received.
