Meet Lisa – A young, bubbly, happy, positive, live it to the full person that we all love.

Eighteen months ago she was diagnosed with Myeloma. This is a cancer of the blood that is CURRENTLY incurable, you can’t really get rid of it, you just beat it into remission and then live life to the full for as long as possible.

The treatment she received was terrifying and incredible. In “computer like” terms the doctors basically performed a hard reset on her. They took a sample of her bone marrow and tried to wipe it clean of the cancer. Lisa was then put in a little tent and zapped with chemicals and radiation until the cancer in her body was dead, along with every other immunity she has ever built up – defenceless as a babe – hard to believe if you meet her ! Finally they re-injected the clean bone marrow along with a myriad of other drugs and she just had to wait to see if it regrew to replenish everything good previously destroyed. Well thankfully it did and the cancer is now in remission, so now we’re on a mission to make the most of life because no one knows what’s round life’s corner.
