So one of us (Graham) had this bright idea to climb the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales...but we weren't just going to climb them in our leisure...oh no...we'd start at 9am Friday 23rd July and do all 3 in the space of 24 hours starting with Ben Nevis in Scotland, driving down to Scafell Pike in the Lake District, finishing up with a drive through the night across to Wales and conquering Mount Snowden. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks over a similar walking distance. The total driving distance alone is 462 miles!!!

Easy right!!!

We originally set out to do this just as a bucket list exercise but with such a mammoth task to accomplish it seems fitting to use the opportunity and raise some money for charity. Peoples mental health has taken a battering during the global pandemic so we've decided to raise money for MIND - the mental health charity. Here's what MIND are all about:
