Wayne's South Downs Way 100 mile non-stop race page

Here we go again, after last year’s epic 54-mile race and saying never again. In 2022 I will be putting my body through the ultimate challenge. A gruelling 20-week programme, to somehow conquer a 100-mile trail race through Southdown way. If that isn’t hard enough, I am planning to achieve this in around 17 hours.
I have personally qualified for this race and even though this will be a massive personal achievement ,I will be running for one of my closest friends who unfortunately has inherited Huntington’s disease and I would love to make a difference and raise money for the HDA charity by doing something close to my heart.
The Huntington's Disease Association supports anyone who is affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales by pursuing the best possible care opportunities; providing training & advice to families and professionals; raising awareness, and promoting research towards better treatment and care.
Huntington's is a genetic disease which means it is inherited from one or both of your parents. The condition affects the body’s nervous system affecting the body’s abilities i.e. movement, emotions, thinking and learning. Although there is no cure yet, funding through charity donations will help to support learning more about this life limiting disease.
Through just giving, you can sponsor me, and donations will quickly be processed to HDA charity. Please donate to this fantastic cause, I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
I believe my determination to do this for a charity close to my heart for a close friend and the thought of making a small difference will drive me to achieve this mammoth challenge.
