Gist support uk is a charity raising awareness for the fight against Gist and pawsgist cancer. GIST cancer is a rare cancer,  that is not widely known about. I am determined to do something to raise money and awareness for GistsupportUK 

The reason for me doing this is that my wife,Laura has been fighting against pawsGIST for ten years, she is currently fighting Gist for the second time, and has been fighting since the age of 22.

The work that gist does to find new medications, and offer support and advice to patients is invaluable. Maybe one day Gistsupport's work will be the difference between my beautiful wife Laura having an incurable disease (which she has now) or a cure being found. She hopes for nothing more than the chance to beat this terrible disease,and get the all clear so she can look forwards to things all mums hope to see, her daughter grow up,get married and one day be a grandma to grandchildren.

So...... myself,  Laura's brothers Adam & Neil and brother in law Mike, have decided we will put all our energy into attempting to complete a gruelling 3 day, 170 mile "way of the roses" cycle ride! 

We start at Morcambe on 19/05/16 and over the course of 3 and a half days will finish at Bridlington. Non of us are cyclists we have just begun some training so this a pretty big thing for us all. 

We have all decided to solely support Gist support & Laura with the sponsors raised in this event.

Hopefully if this goes well we can plan another event focusing on some other cancer charities also close to our hearts.

Cancer touches everyone in some way, we all know someone that is fighting or has fought. 

It would mean a lot to us all if people would get behind us and sponsor us in this challenge. This is an amazing cause the sponsor money will help many people fighting the gist fight not just Laura.

We know times are tough and we are all feeling the pinch after xmas even if you can't contribute please share our cause! ☺️
