4 years ago I took part in a 10k walk to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer. Angela, my sister, had been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer earlier on that year and was undergoing treatment. Despite a lengthy battle she died on January 3rd 2013 and our future would never include her and now I need to walk some more. Target Ovarian Cancer is funding vital research (amongst many other campaigns) which will help early diagnosis and disease progression.

Being healthy enough to take part in such events is a privilege denied to many. Climbing Kilimanjaro appealed to me as the worlds highest free standing mountain and an event that doesn't involve running or cycling! It will be a massive personal challenge and if I can raise some money for this charity too then it will spur me on during difficult moments. This is by far my biggest personal challenge to date. My just giving page picture is the last taken of me and my sisters together and I shall carry this with me.
