Wendy's sunflower memories appeal and walk page 7th May 2016

Paul was diagnosed with malignant melanoma 18 months ago and went through many operations and trials chemo medication but always kept his dignity and hope that he would beat this thing. Unfortunately after 4 successful courses of chemo he was given the devastating news that the 5th course had been unsuccessful and that the cancer had spread to his abdomen and brain. 2 weeks later we lost him on 12th September 2015. He went peacefully in his sleep. The care he received at the hospice was second to none. Anything he wanted he got. He was even allowed to have a visit from his beloved dog Turner. Although he wasnt there very long I cannot think of a better place to have spent his last few days and I know he was so much calmer and happier there. We would like to give something back to the hospice for all the care and attention they paid to him.
