Having done a couple of charity challenges a few years ago and saying never again! Here I am about to embark on yet another even more difficult challenge .
This time I will be driving a sled pulled by a team of spirited huskies across the frozen wilderness of the Arctic.
This arduous trip will take me through Sweden, Finland and Norway experiencing wild and untouched nature. Looking after my team of 8 huskies as I travel up to 75km a day will be tough, as will be the camping and general survival at extreme tempreture a of minus 25 degrees !
So why put myself through this hell? I hear you ask. The answer is simple ... The struggle and fear I shall face is nothing to what the people will be facing with a terminal illness. Fortunately for them and their families they can have the care and support free of charge from Harrogate based Saint Michaels hospice.
