Wheels & Jigs’ take on, ‘From Here to Clare’

The 'Wheels and Jigs' Cycle will make the astounding journey from Dromore, Co. Tyrone to Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare ‪on Monday 8th July 2019.  Taking part are many acclaimed musicians, friends and family from all over the country and is sought out to be none other than a musical adventure building up to the ‘Willie Clancy Traditional Irish’ music week.

Since ‘Wheels & Jigs’ was founded, the cyclists have astonishingly made a significant difference to many charitable organisations and families all over Ireland. Having raised over a remarkable £14,000, ‘Wheels & Jigs’ always set out with a purpose - to raise funds for charities that will always remain close to their hearts. Thus far, Alzheimer’s, NI Children Hospice, Galway Hospice, Pieta House and Action Mental Health & Fermanagh Women’s Aid.

This year... the cyclists set out again to raise money for Northern Irelands Chest, Heart and Stroke Foundation. A leading organisation that help to fight the battle of these illnesses on a daily basis. In Northern Ireland alone, over 335,000 people are living with a chest, heart and stroke condition - many of these being friends and family, which led to this teams primary aim of supporting those living with these life changing conditions.

In the early hours of ‪Monday morning, the team of cyclists will set off from ‘The Clock’ in Dromore, Co. Tyrone and embark on their 200-mile journey to be completed within TWO DAYS to Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare!
