White Watch Gatwick Fire Service Runway Marathon. · 14 June 2020

Donate here to support staff at East Surrey Hospital, and across Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust as we face Covid 19. We are working to get your incredible support to where it is needed most, and support the staff who are caring for us all.

Story

On Sunday 14th June 2020, White Watch Gatwick Fire Service will be running a relay marathon on the Airport's main runway to raise money for our local hospital charity (SASH). The money will help the staff at East Surrey Hospital and Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust during the Covid 19 situation. Your donations will be used right here at East Surrey Hospital, and Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust to help staff go above and beyond in the coming weeks and months.

One length of the runway is 3.3km, we will be running 13 lengths as a relay which will add up to just over a marathon in distance. We are in a unique position of having zero flow on the main runway for periods of the day and will use this opportunity to do something different and raise awareness for our local NHS staff putting themselves on the line every day during this pandemic.

Any donations no matter how small are welcome.
