WHAT THE CHARITY AIMS TO ACHIEVE

WHIZZ-KIDZ IS A NATIONAL CHARITY THAT AIMS TO ENSURE THAT EVERY DISABLED CHILD FULFILS THEIR POTENTIAL AND LEADS AN ACTIVE CHILDHOOD.

WHIZZ-KIDZ PROVIDES CUSTOMISED MOBILITY EQUIPMENT LIKE WHEEL CHAIRS AND TRICYCLES. THEY ALSO DELIVER WHEELCHAIR SKILLS TRAINING, SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUNG DISABLED PEOPLE CAN LIVE THEIR LIVES TO THE FULL.

 

EVENTS THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE AT WAKFIELD IW FOR 2011

WAX IT (18.03.11) :- Lee Marshall and Paul Williams have raised £233 pounds by being brave and having there chests and backs waxed for charity. (Thanks Guys for taking part)

SKY DIVE (25.03.11) :- Carl I’Anson, Ryan Lazenby and Peter Machen all took the 15,000ft dive and raise a fantastic  £421.50. (BRILLIANT)

SCRAP METAL :-

FOOTBALL CARDS:- At Wakefield we have football cards, if the scratched off team is you lucky guess then the winner wins £25 pounds. £15 pounds goes to Whizz Kidz.

GARDEN FUNITURE:- At Wakefield Tony Haslam makes benches, tables and all money goes to Whizz Kidz. If anyone is interested please e-mail me Kerry.rhodes@wickes.co.uk

EASTER RAFFLE:- Gifts was donated by Chris Rhodes Wife, Juice and Myself (Kerry). We raised £34 pounds for charity.

CAR WASH:- Myself Kerry and Michael Robinson washed a massive back breaking  14 cars for charity we raised £70.

WHIZZ FEST 2011:- Together as a team we raised £1000.00 at the family day. I would like to say thank you to Castleford Panthers for helping out and letting Wakefield hold the event there.  Mal for sorting all the Live bands it was brilliant.      

       Also BIG Thank You to Paul Williams, Dean Morgan, Peter Machen , Jessica Rayner,  Kerry Rhodes and Tracey Evans all from Wickes at Wakefield who was on the stalls.

      Also people not from Wickes Cindy, Tracey and Rhian Evans we couldn’t have done it with out you all.

      BIG thanks to everyone who has donated gifts, cakes, sweet and books and help set up at the morning.
