At the beginning of this year we had the terrible news that my mum had got breast cancer for the 2nd time.  Luckily after a successful operation and fantastic after care from everyone she is now on the mend. We had great support again from all of the MacMillan team that looked after her and even now they are still in touch with us. Steve has also had a few family members that have had cancer scares over the last few years, again where the MacMillan team showed us a huge amount of support.

As you can imagine this cause is very close to both of our hearts and we just wanted to give something back, hence we have signed up to do the 10k run for MacMillan Cancer Support.  Anyone that knows me knows that I have trouble running anywhere let alone 10k but I am going to try my hardest to get round in less than an hour and a half, followed by a few stiff Jack Daniels for me and a few pints of John Smiths for Steve afterwards.  Lets keep fingers crossed!!!!!
