Story
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but still hundreds of people lose their lives every day.
Whilst living in Australia, sadly in early 2021, my girlfriend's stepdad suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away that day. Only 6 months later, my stepdad suffered the same fate, two days before my sister's wedding. Both of our families changed forever with the loss of two first class parents.
Unfortunately, both Carrie and I were unable to attend either funeral as Covid restrictions didn't allow. Following our move back to the UK to support our families, I knew I wanted to help fundraise for the British Heart Foundation. What better way than the London Marathon?
Running, funnily enough, is not a sport that has historically agreed with me. This marathon is going to be a massive challenge.
This is my way of making a contribution for research that can prevent more families having to endure the shock of losing a loved one so suddenly.
Every donation, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated and provide some much-needed motivation as I train through the winter months. Lucky me!
This is for Big Will & for Roger
Thank you so much!
