I’m really excited to tell you that I have been selected to volunteer overseas with Ycare international on an International Citizen Service placement. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.
The first part of my placement is a challenge to raise £1500 towards the work of Ycare and their ICS partners. It's important to note the money raised will go towards enabling the overall costs of ICS, ensuring they can to continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities and that my trip is already funded.
Amongst other things, I’ll be hosting a charity auction, looking to get sponsorship from business's who would like to be associated with such a great protect as well as many challenges!  You can keep track of how I get on here on my Justgiving page. Any contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please dig deep!
