Plymouth Hospitals Charity raises money so that NHS Trust staff can provide the best possible healthcare, above and beyond NHS funding. You donations are used to improve the experience of patients and families visiting hospitals and the staff that care for them.

Story

In April 2019 our daughter Ebony was born in Derriford, 17 weeks early and taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She spent 9 weeks in Plymouth Hospital and 12 weeks in Exeter equating to 147 Day!

To mark these days I am going to take part in Ironman Wales 2023 on 3/9/23 this totals 140.6 miles! To cover the last 6.4 miles Zoe will take part in the Exmouth 10k. Without the amazing care Ebony received from the Drs and Nurses in those early days and weeks Ebony would not be here with us today.

We were lucky to have been able to stay on the unit whilst Ebony was in Plymouth as we were away from home. We hope to raise some money to go to the NICU Keep me close fund to help build NICU parent accommodation.
