Story
Our daughter Lily (above) was born on 2nd March 2016. It would be something of an understatement to say she took us by surprise. Due to complications in Marie's pregnancy, Lily arrived by emergency C-section, 15 weeks premature, and weighing in at a mind-boggling 1lb 1oz (or 495g).
At the time of her birth, I had no idea that it was possible for a premature baby to survive in that situation. However, over the past 6 months, I have seen Lily battle through all manner of hurdles: receiving significant support with her breathing and overcoming infections, a collapsed lung, NEC, kidney failure, problems with weight gain, brittle bones (and a fractured femur!), extensive laser eye surgery and well over 20 blood transfusions.

As luck would have it, my company's (Morgan McKinley) nominated charity is Bliss, who are one of several charities who have been in the background to support us through this challenging journey. I am delighted therefore to have the opportunity to take part in their Corporate Dragon Boat Race on the Thames on 15th September, in order to raise money for the charity and would be grateful for any sponsorship, no matter how big or small...
