Story
On 10th February
2017, I will be taking on the ultimate adrenaline rush for Dorset Mind, our local mental health charity. As the President of the Rotary Club of Westbourne, I thought it fitting to take on the ultimate challenge – the world’s highest bungy jump... The jump will take place from the Macau Tower, which is one hour from Hong Kong by ferry. I will step from a platform 233m above the ground and experience free fall before slowing down at 30 meters from the ground. The plan is then to rebound up!
Dorset Mind is our chosen Charity of the Year. It’s a very worthy cause – they work hard to provide mental health support for people in Dorset. In particular, we have singled out their Youth Services Appeal – there are currently very few mental health services for young people, and Dorset Mind is looking to help address this.
ALL money raised will be used to support young people who live in Dorset and are experiencing mental health problems.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please don’t forget to tick Gift Aid. It allows Dorset Mind to reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation.
Thank you for your support.
