Glasgow to Inverness walk · 28 August 2016

Meningitis Research Foundation is a charity driven by a passionate mission to prevent the devastating impact of meningitis. Founded by individuals whose lives were profoundly affected by meningitis, we are dedicated to enabling positive change by uniting people and knowledge to save lives.

Story

The walk may be mine, but the words come from my good friend, Charles Riley:

Will O'Neill is walking for 2 weeks in Scotland on the West Highland Way and then the Great Glen Way for charity. He'll be walking with various friends at different stages. The total distance will be 186 miles. I will be joining him for the final 3 days of the Great Glen Way to its finish in Inverness.

Will has very kindly decided to collect money for the Meningitis Research Foundation charity in memory of my wife, Deborah Riley, who died suddenly of pneumococcal meningitis whilst we were on holiday in New York on 10th November 2015. We hope you can give generously to an organisation that works tirelessly to research for treatment for this terrible disease, education to teach everyone the early signs and support for families who have suffered the aftermath.

We hope you can give generously.

Charles Riley
