Story
In the true spirit of appreciating life “under the sea”, the theme of our production is protecting the aquatic environment by eliminating marine pollution and sending the clear message: “don’t trash where we splash”.
Did you know that 80% of marine waste comes from the land? (WWF)
Much of our set, props and costumes have been made from re-used waste materials, diverting these from ending up in landfill and reducing the amount of plastic that gets blown from land to the sea where it poses a direct threat to marine life.
Plastic waste that ends up in the ocean can be eaten, cause suffocation and entanglement, and eventually degrades into
microplastics that poison the marine ecosystem.
In lieu of charging for tickets, we kindly ask parents to make a donation to our nominated sealife charity, Surfers Against Sewage.
Surfers Against Sewage is a grassroots UK movement dedicated to the protection of oceans, waves, beaches and wildlife. They work long and hard to protect what we love and won’t stop until it’s completely clean, safe and protected for everyone, forever.
Please follow this link to find out more about the excellent work they do.
On behalf of Surfers Against Sewage we would like to thank you for your generosity.
