Samworth Charity Challenge · 17 June 2017

Est. in 1990, Headway Leicester provides top notch support services for adults with acquired brain injuries, their families & carers. They help people come to terms with the devastating effects of brain injury; at their day centre in Leicester & their outreach services across the county & Rutland.

Story

The Samworth Charity Challenge brings together teams from several businesses to compete in an all day event consisting of orienteering, cycling and canoeing. Our teams will be competing in either the "Super Tough" or "Tough" routes to test our physical endurance and competitive spirit.

Headway Leicester is a voluntary organisation which specialises in providing support and services to both those with an acquired or traumatic brain injury and their families. A brain injury can have a devastating and life changing effects and finding the appropriate support to adjust to these changes can be difficult.

The focus is to enable individuals to cope with their changed lives and move forward to achieve their best possible outcome which may include education, employment, voluntary work or independent living skills.

We have seen just how hard it can be and we hope to make a difference to families at this difficult time.
