Walking 50 Miles around Woodhouse Moor for Stroke Association

Stroke Association Virtual Collections · 31 December 2020 to 31 December 2023 ·
My Granny recently died from a stroke. First we lost the person she was, then we lost her altogether. Too much despair has come from it, I can’t do anything to change that. By doing this, it makes me feel as though I’m doing something.
I’m going to walk 50 laps around Woodhouse Moor in Leeds, around 50 miles, in one day, on Saturday the 12th June 2021.
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. That's because a stroke happens in the brain, the control centre for who we are and what we can do. It happens every five minutes in the UK and changes lives instantly. The Stroke Association is here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke.
