The Woodsford Riders are undertaking together an ambitious Cycle Challenge to raise money for the charity “Storybook Dads”. We are cycling 100km from Southampton, around the New Forest, around the Isle of Wight, and back to Southampton over 16th and 17th June.
The team will consist of 16 riders from across the Woodsford Group, representing Woodsford Consulting, Woodsford Litigation Funding and Woodsford TradeBridge.
We’re thrilled to announce generous fundraising support from the A B Charitable Trust who will match every pound we raise. So if you were generous enough to donate £100, the A B Charitable Trust will match your gift with £100 of its own.
Our cycle adventure is a tremendous opportunity to fundraise for a wonderful cause. Storybook Dads is a charity that we have got to know well over the years; their work is both simple and transformative. Families suffer tremendously when a parent is imprisoned - especially children. Storybook Dads help to maintain the vital emotional bond between prisoners and their often young, vulnerable children by enabling
prisoners to make bedtime story CDs, DVDs and other educational gifts for their children. That may not sound like much, but the statistics are
incredible: prisoners who keep in contact with their families are up to 6 times less likely to re-offend.
Any support you give us would be enormously appreciated. Every pound raised goes 100% to the charity. Thank you all!
And now, with the start date fast approaching, it’s time to get some hard training miles under our belts!
