Workforce Warriors UK Coastline Challenge · 14 April 2021

Airedale Hospital & Community Charity is the dedicated charity of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. We support the staff, patients and communities of Airedale across 700 miles of West & North Yorkshire and East Lancashire. Our mission is to support ANHSFT to enhance patient care and employee wellbeing.

Story

The Workforce Warrior Team is:  Kelly Baxter, Carol Cooper, Erin McGarry, Laura Emmerson, Lisa White, Olivia Polyhos, Gina Moore, Nichola Powell, Laura Hepworth, Greg Gentleman, Gareth Williams, Helen Saggers, Katherine Duke, Clare Potter, Kelly Jolly, Karen Al-Muhandis, Emel Karsli, Alexis Brown, Lorna Smithson, Ellis Overend-Crowther, Amanda Limbert & Kayleigh Brothers...

In order to support our mental and physical wellbeing we decided we wanted to get outdoors and raise some money for charity.  What started out as a challenge to get us moving more escalated into something bigger hence us clocking up the number of miles equivalent to the UK Coastline...  a whopping 7,723.

As May is National Walking Month we thought that was a good time to start and aim to have completed the challenge before the August Bank Holiday.

Our daily steps do not count towards the challenge - only a walk that is a minimum of a mile will count.

Please look out for our updates & donate if you can - every little helps to support our staff and patients here at Airedale.

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is an award winning NHS hospital and community services trust providing high quality, personalised, acute, elective, specialist and community care for a population of over 200,000.
