On my visits to Senegal I saw at first hand how important it is for communities to have clean safe water, from schools to villages and with all the amazing benefits it brings. Water means life, health, nourishment and cleanliness and as a result of the Global 6k Walk for Water families have hope for a better future. A standpipe was recently installed in a school compound and what a difference it has made to children's education - think about it! A newly completed well in another community has made life more agreeable. Please take a look at my Gallery page for pictures from Senegal.
"The Fabulous Fundraiser Team" will be in action again this year supporting World Vision's annual fundraiser on Saturday 20 August 2022, starting from St Thomas a Becket Church, Church Lane, Warblington, PO9 2TU, at 10:00. 6K is the average distance that children often girls walk every single day to fetch water for their community. Water that is often filthy and makes them very sick. I'm doing this challenge with my 'Fabulous Fundraiser Team" because every step we take is one they won't have to. See you there! Sue
