We Raising funds for stem cell research to save and improve people's lives

Story

Hello my friends!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This will be shocking to most of you, but I'll be taking part in the adidas Silverstone Half Marathon on March 11th 2012! http://adidashalfmarathon.co.uk/

I'll be running together with 4 of my Engineering Doctoral colleagues from the department of Biochemical Engineering, UCL for the UK Stem Cell Foundation. It is a registered charity aiming to speed up the progress of stem cell research into treatments and therapies for patients. It does this by funding promising stem cell research projects that have the greatest potential for saving and improving people's lives.

The UKSCF fund doctoral research projects, including mine. So without them, I wouldn't have the opportunity to do my EngD in such an interesting and rapidly progressing field with so much potential.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your generosity :)

~Wish me luck!~
