Hello my name is Zac Jiggins, I am 16 and I live in the south coast of England. In the summer time of 2012 I am going to Borneo to build schools, teach local childran (GCSE pass rate = 0% out there) and fit water irigation systems (Only 30% of the comunity have accsess to clean water) I will also take part in beach clean up's and other wildlife conservation projects.
I am staying there for a month and therefore the trip is expensive, however the majority of the cost's are going towards building materials and money to put into the local infustructure. I am expected to fund raise the money and do many diffrent types of events and activities to enable myself to help the people of Borneo.
Whilst out there we aim to help improve the quailty of life for the community in Borneo, and in order to do this, I must call upon the public's support as I am completing my GCSE's I am unable to get a job to fund myself.
So far I have completed the following fundraising events:
> 50 mile pier to pier bike ride (Southsea to Brighton)
> A marathon
> Bag packs and local community projects
> Many in school projects such as cake sales and car wash's
> Door to door knocking and presentations
> Car Boot sales
> 25 Mile walk around Hayling Island
> Odd jobs around neighbours and family
> Gardening work
Thank you for taking the time to look at my page,
Zac Jiggins
