Story

*image, path actually along the coast-not cheating walking through like on the cover photo-idea of distance

So I ve signed up to do a lovely long trek along the Jurassic coast starting at Corfe Castle all the way up to Weymouth. If I am feeling super keen I might put in a cheeky little jog (mainly downhill, en route to toilets, or if there is a water stop in the distance)....
Aiming to do this entirity in daylight (1 day). exceed my own navigation skills (ie follow other people who look like they ve signed up too) or basically get lost.
This is me (will probably be sleep deprived/already injured somehow), minimal training...busy lives but hoping to raise a little bit of money action for M.E.

With what looks like a slightly shorter distance than originally signed up for from Poole (changes due to social distancing restrictions still), the night before is now going to be camping in a field-so i definitely wont be having any sleep or comfort and doing this feeling pretty exhausted before I already start.

I ve picked this charity as unlike some of the bigger names in charities out there, it comes down to who you know needing the help from this one in particular. If in the end the charity can put any little money I get from this into funding further research and developing any progressive developments in slowing or reversing the development of M.E, I would have felt I ve helped a solid friend.

Neither of us will be having a super fun weekend, but levels of tiredness completely different for one to another on this.

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) is a long-term neurological condition affecting many body systems, causing multiple symptoms including extreme debilitating fatigue, pain, general malaise, nausea, headaches, cognitive difficulties and orthostatic intolerance.

M.E. affects an estimated 250,000 people in the UK, and around 17 million people worldwide, however biomedical research is greatly lacking and patients are left without any successful treatment. Many patients are left unable to work, relying on others for basic care, isolated from friends, and missing out on life. People with M.E. can find themselves so weak they are housebound or bedbound, and can remain this way for many decades.
