Story

Thank you for visiting my page. I am raising money to help the flood relief effort in Pakistan by fasting (no food or drink). As it is still the holy month of Ramadan, instead of fasting from sunrise to sunset I will be fasting for 24 hours.
When: Friday 3rd September 8pm - Saturday 4th September 8pm
Your contributions will continue to support the cause even after the date of the fast so please donate.
About the appeal:
Monsoon rains have caused extensive flooding throughout leading to widespread damage across an area the size of England. Approximately 20 million people have been affected and around 900,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed making this the worst natural disaster of our time.
About me: Although I have already donated, I have decided to try and raise more money for this appeal as is where my cultural heritage lies and also there is an ongoing need to increase the level of support. My employers Snap-on have kindly offered to sponsor me and I am reaching out to local businesses for further support.
About the charity: Action Aid are part of the Disasters Emergency Committee who have raised £33 million to aid the victims of the disaster.
