Story
I will be taking part in the 50 miles Great Notts bike ride for Stroke 2017 with my partner Simon and colleagues Chris Mathers and Caspar Van Deursen

to raise awareness of what is the stroke, and how to prevent it , What can stroke charity do to help those who suffered it and their families as well as to remember my mother, Lubomira Galova, who died of stroke at the young age of 41 leaving behind her two teenage daughters and her husband. It was a big change to our lives and even though it happened so many years ago we
remember her every day.
Stroke is one of the biggest health challenges of our time. It is the third largest
cause of death in the UK, killing three times as many women as breast
cancer and twice as many men as prostate and testicular cancer combined.
For people who suffer from stroke the speed of help can mean the difference of saving the life. It is important to learn the sign of the strokes and how to act in
such situation when you witness it. It is important to teach others, including
your children, how to act in such situations.
This campaign explains how to recognize stroke. Please take 5 min to watch it and read about
it:
