A Gardeners Question Time 2019 · 22 September 2019

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Have you ever wondered why you can’t grow carrots?

Or why the slugs got all your lettuces?

If so we may have the answer!

After a very successful event last year we are holding our gardeners’ question time again and you can put your questions to a team of expert horticulturalists.

Our panel, which will be chaired by Cliff Sharp, the ever entertaining medical director of NHS Borders, will include :

  • Emma Emmerson, from award winning Woodside Walled Garden plant centre and cafe
  • Ron McBeath, horticulturalist who trained and worked at the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens
  • Dave Allan, gardening correspondent for the Glasgow Herald and founder of Borders Organic Gardeners

We’d be delighted to see you at St Boswells Village Hall on Sunday 22 September between 2pm and 4pm.

Entry by donation on this site of £5 (or more) and please bring your thank you email with you.

Please send us your questions online on the Borders Organic Gardeners website (bordersorganicgardeners.org)
