AAF 250km Challenge · 8 June 2016

Akamba Aid Fund is a small independent UK charity founded in 2000 supporting the people of Kyuso Sub-County, NE kenya. Our main focus is provision of clean water and sanitation, supporting general health with a particular focus on eyes and women's health and promoting improvements in education.

Story

Sadly, the clinic in Gai, Kenya that the AAF charity supports is losing the financial backing of a larger charity. As we are only a small charity, we cannot meet the financial need and therefore the clinic is at risk of closing. Collectively, we are running the distance from the clinic in Gai to the hospital in Nairobi (250km) to help raise enough money to sponsor a nurse for the year and in turn allow the clinic to support the community.
