Story
On January 8th, in the depths of winter, I will be running one of the most challenging fell races in the calendar, the Trigger fell race.
It’s 23.6 miles of frozen bogs and hills, far off the beaten track. I ran the event for the first time last year and was also close to pulling out due to being so hypothermic I was violently shaking.
A big motivation to go through this again is to raise money for the Rosa Fund. The fund provides grants for projects which help make the UK a fairer, safer place for women and girls. Everyone knows a friend, acquaintance or family member who has been affected in some significant way by gender based violence, harassment or intimidation. Why should women not feel safe to walk the streets at night or day?
For examples of projects supported by the Rosa Fund, you can look at stories from grantees https://rosauk.org/grantee-stories/ or explore their grant map https://rosauk.org/grant-map/
This cause really means a lot to me - and probably most people - and I would be eternally grateful if you could show your support in any way you can.
Please join others in helping me to take action. For this you could: donate, share my posts, learn more about the subject, do your own fundraising, or even recommend the charity to your employer / organisation to provide fundraising or donation matching support.
I can do the running but I need your support to help me achieve the goal of making a positive change to peoples lives.
