So on the 30/09/2017 I will be competing in the Spartan beast race (Windsor) raising money for Meningitis Research Foundation. The race will be over 20 km and will consist of up to 35 obstacles.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Since the year 2000 approximately 3200 people are diagnosed each year and 1-10 will die. 

Charities and research institutes are tirelessly trying to help fight this form of infection and  develop new vaccines so that children and their families won't have to go through what others have.

This is something that is really close to me and my family after suffering with the illness at such a young age things could've turned out very different for me.

Fortunately for me I was very lucky to survive and be able to go and lead a normal life however they're are children and families out there that have a completely different story to tell.
