My godfather Steve Bownass, aka Auntie Steve was a patient at Cynthia Spencer Hospice last July. As a family this was the second time we had seen the wonderful work Cynthia Spencer Hospice does, as my late father, Bob Brown, Auntie Steve’s best friend also spent his final days in the care of the hospice.

The staff are like warriors all lined up for battle in getting their patients and not forgetting us relatives in a calm and safe place with their compassion, honesty and understanding.

I am so proud at undertaking this fundraising event in memory of a lovely ‘gentleman’.
