Rebuilding Sri Lanka was founded by a group of individuals and families who were staying in Sri Lanka at the time of the tsunami in 2004. We are united by a love of Sri Lanka and its people and a desire to help Sri Lankans to re-establish their lives and have access to improved educational resources. We have received donations from friends and families around the world. Many individuals, schools, businesses and clubs have generously given their time and money to our appeal.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 4 of August this year I will be attempting to climb Kilimanjaro with my father and friends (13 in all) at which we hope to reach the summit in 6 days at a height of 5895m – which is higher than Everest Base Camp.

I know this will be a life changing experience for us all and together we are looking to raise over £10K for various charities from the UK and across the world.

My father and I have decided to raise money for a charity that is making a difference in the lives of 1000s of children living in poverty and obscurity.

We would like to raise money for the charity’ ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ as we are aware that the grammar school is in support of this too. We strongly believe that a good education can lead one and ones community out of poverty.
