The Run Norwich 2022 event is a 10k road race. The Feed's runners will raise money to provide a structured work experience programme to people who've faced homelessness, addiction etc. This will give them new skills and confidence.

Story

The money I raise will help The Feed support more people like Esme. She took part in their Supported Work Experience programme. She explained that her long-term goal was to secure a part-time job in a coffee shop where she could use her love for baking. As well as being places where anyone can buy our delicious food, The Feed's cafes are place where they provide a 40 hour supported work experience programme. Esme took part in this. Esme achieved a lot during this time including gaining a Level 2 in food hygiene, new skills and confidence and then enrolling as a volunteer to maintain this. She spent a total of 15 months working with us and demonstrated great customer service and barista skills. She was reliable, hard-working and slotted in naturally to our team one of whom said "Esme has really come out of her shell since working here. She has a really positive vibe." In November 2021 Esme reached her goal when she secured a job at The Feed's new Waterloo Park cafe.
