Belfast Marathon Festival 2017 · 1 May 2017 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For anyone who doesn't know, I'm running the Belfast marathon on 1 May. Whilst this is my first full marathon and a personal challenge, I have decided to use it as an opportunity to raise money for REVIVE a charity who support ICU in the Royal Belfast Hospital.
Last month my 15 month old nephew Ruairi spent seven nights in the ICU in the Royal Children's Hospital where he received round the clock specialist treatment for the potentially life threatening illness Sepsis. SEPSIS TRUST
Ruairi was cared for by a team of specialist doctors and nurses whose medical expertise, care and dedication was outstanding. Ruairi is now on the road to recovery, thanks to this invaluable team and facility.
Revive supports the work of the Regional Intensive Care Unit and High Dependency Units in the Royal Victoria hospital in Belfast. The money raised by Revive is used to purchase equipment, improve facilities and services for patients and their families and support research and development projects.
So, if you have a few pounds to spare I will be grateful for all support and donations made to this charity.
