Machu Picchu Trek 2023 · 6 October 2023

Cavendish Cancer Care is a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer. No one should face cancer alone, so we provide emotional support through counselling and complementary therapies. Our services are provided free of charge and are funded through donations.

Story

Kirsty, Emma, Aaron and Charlie are heading to Peru to make a difference to people affected by cancer and mental health

Lock down was pretty shit. As a teenager trying to do my GCSE's I found it hard. But I was very aware, others were struggling more..including my An Kirsty (aunty) She was diagnosed with breast cancer and her treatment included chemo, 4 surgeries and radiotherapy.

She got lots of support from Cavendish Cancer Care and when my mum and her said they wanted to trek Machu Picchu to raise funds for them I decided to support too.

My An Kirsty has always been there for me, we have a great relationship as you can see from the pic. The opportunity to do something amazing, supporting her and supporting others was an easy choice - though I'm going to have to hit the training hard after my A Levels!! I'm excited one of my best friends is coming too and raising funds for another important charity - Mind.

Please support me in any way you can
