Story

Hi everyone,

This June I’m taking on a challenge to row 100km to raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.

Although this isn’t something that has personally affected my family or close friends, I’ve realised that people my age are facing battles like this every day. That made me want to take on a challenge that could raise awareness, support important research, and hopefully make some difference, however small.

I’ve only recently started rowing as a new sport, so taking on 100km feels like a big challenge for me personally as well. I wanted to push myself outside of my comfort zone, stay disciplined, and commit to something that will take consistency and effort throughout the month.

Approximately 8,500 people are living with or beyond primary bone cancer in the UK, and the Bone Cancer Research Trust is the only charity dedicated to this disease. They fund ground breaking research, life saving awareness initiatives, and provide trusted support and information to patients and their families, all without government funding.

Every donation, whether it’s £5 or £50, really does make a difference and helps support the important work they do.

Thank you so much for supporting me and the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
